Metrolinx and its municipal partners are committed to making transit services fully accessible to people with disabilities. Public meetings are being held across the GTHA so our customers can provide feedback on the services provided by Metrolinx (including GO Transit, UP Express and PRESTO), the City of Hamilton and Durham Region Transit. Metrolinx is inviting media, members of the public and stakeholders to attend a meeting in their area.
Public feedback remains crucial in ensuring the needs of people with disabilities are incorporated into our plans. Due to feedback received about accessibility, Metrolinx has added a number of features including a hearing induction loop system for people who are hard of hearing at some GO ticket counters. We will be adding more loop systems in the future.
We look forward to our next round of meetings to hear the public’s ideas and continue our work to implement crucial changes to make our properties and services fully accessible for all.
