Tale of a Town-Canada
When: Saturday December 16th at 2:00pm
Where: Theatre Passe Muraille, 16 Ryerson Ave.
Relaxed Performances are designed to welcome people of all ages and their families who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, such as, those with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorder, or a learning disability.
For this performance, we have toned down the sound and light effects. Movement and noise from the audience is welcomed, including exiting and entering the space. To help with exiting and entering the space low lighting will be left on in the seating area. There is also a “calm space” available outside the theatre. We provide a Visual Story PDF about attending Theatre Passe Muraille- a detailed step-by-step guide to our theatre experience and location -that describes in words and photos what to expect when you come to our theatre.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Follow the storymobile (a.k.a. recording studio on wheels) on its journey to every province and territory in Canada gathering the almost lost tales of our beloved main streets. This multimedia performance is presented alongside personal anecdotes from this epic family adventure peppered with humour, nostalgia and moments of madness. This show features a local Choir, a live band, and surprise appearances from notables in the community.
COST: Tickets are $20 in advance (with the code “RP20”) and Pay-What-You-Can (any amount you want) if you pay at the theatre on the day of the show.
