Don Logie Appointed as Board Chair of Community Living Toronto

[TORONTO, ON, October 1, 2026] Community Living Toronto (CLTO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Don Logie as Chair of its Board of Directors for a two-year term.

Don has served on the CLTO Board since September 2021 and most recently as Vice-Chair. He is also a member of CLTO’s Lawson Redevelopment Project Steering Committee. He takes on the role as Stephanie Gawur completes her two-year term as Board Chair.

Don is now retired from CreateTO, where he previously served as the Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice-President, Asset Management, and has extensive experience in the development and operation of commercial, industrial and residential real estate, with a particular focus on mixed-use developments. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the development and asset management of more than 6,000 residential units and 22 million square feet of retail and office space. He holds a civil engineering degree and an MBA and serves on a pension fund advisory board and two non-profit boards.

Don also has an adult son who has developmental delays. Speaking about his appointment, he said, “I’m honoured to take on this role and to build on the strong foundation this Board and organization have created. Community Living Toronto is a large but nimble organization that plays an important, leading role in creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and live a good life.”

“Over the next two years, I look forward to continuing to expand housing opportunities, champion inclusive public policy and support innovative services that empower people with an intellectual disability to grow and live with choice, dignity and belonging,” said Don. “Together, we will continue to build a society where everyone belongs, is valued and has the opportunity to live life to the fullest.”

Don also expressed his appreciation to outgoing Board Chair Stephanie Gawur for her leadership and service over the past two years.

“Stephanie has been an exceptional Chair,” said Don. “Her steady guidance, thoughtful judgment and genuine commitment to the people we support, and their families have left this organization stronger. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank her for two years of exceptional leadership and for the generosity with which she has supported this transition.”

Brad Saunders, CEO of Community Living Toronto, welcomed Don to the role and recognized Stephanie’s contribution as Chair.

“We are pleased to welcome Don Logie as Chair of the Community Living Toronto Board of Directors,” said Brad Saunders, CEO, Community Living Toronto. “Don brings extensive experience in development, governance, and community building, along with a strong understanding of our organization and vision for inclusive communities. His experience will be a tremendous asset as we continue to advance our strategic priorities and create more opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to live and participate fully in their communities.”

Saunders also acknowledged the commitment of the entire Board of Directors. “Our Board members bring their time, experience and passion to their roles, helping to guide CLTO and hold us accountable to the people and families we support,” said Saunders. “We are grateful for their leadership and continued commitment to building a more inclusive Toronto.”

As Board Chair, Don will work with the Board, CLTO leadership and community partners to support the organization’s vision of a Toronto where people with intellectual disabilities are valued, included and have opportunities to live full and meaningful lives.
