Community Living Toronto Hosts Lemonade Stands to Support United Way Campaign

Toronto – September 22, 2022 – Community Living Toronto locations across the GTA are hosting a “Great Community Lemonade Stand” to raise awareness and funds for The United Way of Greater Toronto. This is also a great opportunity for the people we support to get to know their neighbours after being socially isolated during the pandemic lockdowns. Come by and purchase a refreshing lemonade with proceeds going to The United Way of Greater Toronto. We would also love to say “Hi!” to our neighbours!

Date: Sunday, September 25 and Monday, September 26

Time: 10 am – 2 pm (Each location will be roughly in this time frame)

How: If you want to support us by hosting a lemonade stand at your place, you can download a digital kit that’ll help you to set up. Don’t forget to put #LemonadeTO and tag Community Living Toronto (@CLToronto) and United Way Greater Toronto (@UWGreaterTO) on your socials!

Location: The event will take place at the locations listed below:

About Community Living Toronto

Community Living Toronto has been a source of support for people with an intellectual disability and their families since 1948.

We offer a wide range of services including respite, person-directed planning, employment supports, supported living, and community-based activities to over 4,000 people and their families across the city of Toronto.

The community living movement began with families who wanted their children to live in the community, rather than in institutions.

Today, Community Living Toronto continues to advocate for full inclusion and belonging by providing opportunities for people with an intellectual disability to live the life they choose.
