[May 29, 2023 – Toronto, ON] This morning, the Government of Ontario announced their $6.5 million investment to support five innovative projects helping more than 3,100 people with disabilities find meaningful jobs with businesses in their communities.
$1.8 million from this fund will be provided to Community Living Toronto and partners to enhance the MyJobMatch program further and empower people with a developmental disability to participate in their own job search.
MyJobMatch is an open jobs network that allows Employment Supports Providers, like Community Living Toronto and our partners Corbrook Awakening Abilities and Ready, Willing and Able, to share job opportunities across agencies, removing the pre-existing boundaries that once limited the opportunities available to the people supported. It will make supported employment easier by quickly matching job seekers with employers based on the skills, experience, and values employers are looking for.

Celebrating 75 years of belonging, Community Living Toronto has long been a source of support for people with an intellectual disability and their families. Community Living Toronto offers a wide range of services including respite, person-directed planning, employment supports, supported living, and community-based activities.
Community Living Toronto is proud to support over 4,000 individuals and their families in more than 80 locations across Toronto. The “community living movement” began with families who wanted their children to live in the community, rather than institutions. Today, Community Living Toronto continues to advocate for inclusive communities and support the rights and choices of people with an intellectual disability.
