The episode explores our history and impact — from our beginnings in the “community living movement,” where families advocated for their children to live in inclusive communities rather than institutions, to our work today supporting over 4,000 people and their families across more than 80 locations in Toronto.

National Spotlight on Project SEARCH Toronto: Bridging the Gap for Youth with Disabilities
A July 2025 CBC News feature highlighted the lack of transition programs for youth with disabilities after high school, underscoring the need for stronger pathways to employment and independence. Project SEARCH Toronto is helping address this gap by providing hands-on workforce training through a partnership with Holland Bloorview, Community Living Toronto, UHN, and the TDSB, with the program continuing to expand across Ontario due to its success.
