Community Living Toronto is proud to launch its newly redesigned website, creating a more accessible, modern, and bilingual online experience for people seeking information, services, resources, and opportunities.
For nearly two decades, our website has connected people to supports, services, resources, and opportunities while sharing the stories, milestones, and achievements that have shaped our organization. As Community Living Toronto continued to grow and evolve, we recognized it was time for a website that better reflects who we are today and meets the needs of the people who rely on it.
The previous website served our organization well for many years. However, advances in technology, evolving accessibility standards, and feedback from people who use our website made it clear that it was time to create a more inclusive, user-friendly, and future-ready online experience.
Before a single page was redesigned, we began by listening.
People we support, families, staff, community partners, leadership, and board members helped shape the project through surveys, focus groups, feedback sessions, and demonstrations. Their input guided the development of a site that makes it easier to find information, access services, and connect with Community Living Toronto.
Because access to information is a form of inclusion.
“Information shouldn’t be a barrier. Our new website was built with that goal, clear language, easier navigation, and simpler ways to connect with the services you need. We’re grateful to everyone who shared their feedback and helped us build something that actually works better for the people using it.”
– Brad Saunders, CEO, Community Living Toronto
We believe the people who use a service should help shape it.
Community Living Toronto partnered with DARTS Solutions to bring the new website to life. Working collaboratively throughout the project, the DARTS team helped transform feedback from our stakeholders into a more intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly online experience. Their expertise in website design, development, and accessibility played an important role in creating a website that reflects Community Living Toronto's commitment to inclusion.

Community involvement continued throughout the project. Stakeholders were invited to preview and test the website before its launch, helping us make final improvements based on their feedback.
The result is not simply a new website, but a digital experience built with our community, for our community.
“The new website is more accessible because of its visuals and that it has more links for people to navigate. This makes Community Living Toronto information more accessible to the community.”
- Farrah Sattaur, CLTO Influencer, Self Advocate Advisor, Community Living Toronto

Accessibility was a priority throughout every stage of the project.
The new website includes improved navigation, mobile-friendly design, enhanced colour contrast, image descriptions, and accessibility tools that allow visitors to customize their browsing experience with options such as larger text and improved readability settings.
For the first time, Community Living Toronto's website is fully bilingual in English and French, ensuring more people can access information.
"We are incredibly proud of what this project represents. The new website is the result of months of collaboration with the people we support, families, staff, partners, and stakeholders. Together, we created a more accessible and inclusive online experience that will serve our community for years to come.”
– Petronilla Ndebele, Director, Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Relations
One of the biggest goals of the redesign was improving how people navigate the website.
Designed with users in mind, the new website makes it easier to navigate Community Living Toronto's wide range of programs, services, resources, and opportunities.

“This website reflects what can be achieved when teams come together with a shared vision. Through collaboration, thoughtful design, and careful testing, we helped create an accessible and inclusive digital experience that makes it easier for people to connect with Community Living Toronto. We are proud of this partnership and excited to support the platform as it continues to grow and evolve.”
– Hassnane Sajan, Chief Executive Officer, DARTS Solutions Inc.

The new website is more than a visual refresh. It provides a strong foundation that will support Community Living Toronto well into the future, allowing us to continue improving the online experience and adapting to the evolving needs of our community.
