A Message That Resonates: #WeAllBelong Campaign Earns National and International Recognition

A powerful message can inspire change, conversation, and bring communities together. Community Living Toronto’s #WeAllBelong campaign has done exactly that, earning both national and international recognition for its impact in advancing inclusion, belonging, and community connection.

Launched as part of Community Living Month celebrations, the campaign has been honoured with two prestigious communications industry awards:

  • IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Gold Quill Award of Excellence – Nonprofit Sector Communication
  • CPRS Award of Excellence – Best Integrated Communications Small Budget Category – Silver Award

These awards recognize more than a successful communications campaign. They celebrate a movement that continues to challenge perceptions, share stories, and remind us that every person deserves to belong.

The #WeAllBelong campaign calls on all of us to build communities where every person is welcomed, valued, and included. While we are honoured to receive this recognition, these awards belong to the people we support, their families, our dedicated staff, community partners, and everyone who has championed this message. We support more than 4,000 people, and together we are demonstrating what is possible when belonging is not just an aspiration, but a shared commitment.

The campaign’s impact extended beyond the awards. On June 16, 2026, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) invited Community Living Toronto to share the #WeAllBelong story during the “Gold Quill Glory: Inside the Minds of Award-Winning Communicators” session at the IABC World Conference 2026. The presentation, led by Minal Nanda, Manager, Internal Communications and Policy, highlighted the impact, collaboration, and community engagement behind the campaign, offering insights to communications professionals from around the world.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it arrived as Community Living Toronto was hosting the campaign for a second consecutive year. Receiving these awards while #WeAllBelong continues to grow is a powerful reminder of the importance of the work that we do and the impact it has on our communities.

When everyone belongs, communities become stronger, more connected, and more compassionate.
