May is Family Caregiver Month and to celebrate, a new initiative – the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence (CCCE) – is officially launching. CCCE is powered by The Azrieli Foundation and seeks to improve the experiences of caregivers and care providers (those in paid care positions) across the country by convening those in the field, translating knowledge into practice, scaling what works and filling gaps through innovation. Most importantly, the centre will work with people with lived experience every step of the way. We know that caregivers in this country need support, and CCCE will provide it.
Although the centre just launched in May, it already has several programs and initiatives underway that will have a positive impact on caregivers and care providers across the country.
