We had a lot of celebrations during the month of December! Here are the highlights:
The North York staff held a pot luck lunch early in the month that included a gift exchange where staff had chances of stealing gifts from each other. Julia, our Administrative Assistant, who was the lead organizer of this event added a scavenger hunt to the afternoon event. Two objects were hidden in our office for staff to find. Winners received an extra gift for finding the objects. It was a great event for the staff to get together, catch up with each other and share good food and laughter.
Thanks Julia and her helpers for putting on a great event!
The Supported Work and Community Activities (SWACA) program also had a wonderful holiday party featuring a lunch that was prepared by the program staff, entertainment from the choir and a visit from St. Nick.
The Adult Development Program celebrated with music and a festive lunch prepared by staff. Family members and volunteers were present to offer a helping hand.
Jumpstart Literacy program held their last class celebration of 2018. Participants, staff and volunteers enjoyed a variety of treats that were contributed by everyone.
