Corporate Giving: The Employees of VMware Canada

With the onset of the pandemic, CLTO had to quickly pivot to virtual supports and services. Thankfully, Peter Near and other employees of VMware Canada generously donated their time and funds to help us get our community online.

This year, they supported the rollout of new technology across the agency to ensure that our staff had the tools they needed to work remotely. As part of their Good Gigs project, they also donated in excess of $43,000 for the purposes of tech needs such as iPads, Tablets and Echos for the people we support.

Since 2017, Peter has Co-Chaired our Technology Advisory Committee, helping our IT department develop long-term plans on how to better support our business and community. He also volunteered with our internal United Way campaign last year and has personally donated funds to help people in support attend Community Rocks.

In addition to supporting IT projects, employees of VMware Canada love coming to Shadow Lake Centre to help us get ready for the summer season.

We are so grateful to Peter and VMware Canada for the many ways they have supported us over the years!

“As we navigated major technology changes during the pandemic, Peter and the VMware team played a crucial role in CLTO’s ability to innovate and adapt.”
